Communion

At the 9 a.m. worship service, the people have generally received Communion kneeling at the communion rail (a medieval Roman Catholic practice continued by the Church of England and passed on to us by John Wesley).

At both of the 11 a.m. services (i.e., non-traditional and the healing service), the people come forward to a “communion station” and receive Communion standing.

The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month at both services. On the second Sunday of the month, it is offered at the service of healing in the sanctuary at 11 a.m.
